From Giovi to Ponte Buriano on the Arno cycle route

A journey through the breathtaking beauty of the Tuscan countryside and the historic charm of ancient villages. Starting from the bustling Giovi train station in Arezzo, we prepare for an adventure that will take us along the Arno, the iconic river that has inspired generations of artists.

At 9 a.m., we gather with our two experienced guides to embark on a trail that promises excitement and discovery. The difficulty classification, T for Tourist according to the CAI scale, ensures an accessible experience for all, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of the landscape without worry.

Our 8 km walk takes us through picturesque landscapes, passing points of interest that tell centuries of history and culture. We pass through the picturesque Borgo a Giovi, admiring its cobbled streets and the facades of ancient houses that tell us stories of times past. We continue along the footbridge suspended over the Arno, where the sound of the waters lulls us as we approach the majestic Pieve di Santa Maria Maddalena a Sietina, an architectural jewel that bears witness to the devotion and art of the past.

Continuing our journey, we pass through the charming Borgo di Vado, with its atmosphere of tranquillity and authenticity, before reaching our finish line, the Buriano Bridge, around 1pm.

Here, at the T-Rafting Centro Outdoor Arezzo, reflect on the emotions experienced during the excursion while enjoying a well- deserved moment of relaxation. Looking back on our journey, we can be thankful for the opportunity to explore the unspoilt nature and hidden treasures along the way, making this excursion an unforgettable experience for all participants.
